Hawaii Centennial Commemorative Stamp Design Competition

Gov. Carlito S. Marquez announces that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA) and Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) are sponsoring the Hawaii Centennial Commemoration Stamps Design Competition on the theme: “100 Years: The Filipino Legacy in Hawaii.”
The competition is part of the activities lined up in the celebration of the Centennial of Filipino Migration to Hawaii on 10 December 2005 to 17 December 2006.
The competition has two (2) categories: Student Category and Professional Category. The Student Category is open to all Filipino elementary, high school and college students from both public and private schools. The Professional Category is open to all Filipino artists, designers and other interested parties.
Those qualified are, therefore sincerely invited to join the contest.
Official entry forms are available at the Office of the Governor care of Mr. Jun Isagan Kalibo, Aklan. Deadline for submission of entries is on Friday, October 14, 2005 P.M.
